Sideboard

Let's do what Orzhov does best, shall we? Bleed our opponent to death! Lingering Ghost Council is a B/W deck based on Extort, Removal, and Tokens.

The bombs in this deck are Obzedat, Ghost Council and Blood Baron of Vizkopa, two creatures that are evasive, heavy hitters, and gain me lots of life. If I an unable to get combat damage through, Tithe Drinker and Crypt Ghast provide Extort for when I flash back Lingering Souls and play my one drops. My main removal spells are Orzhov Charm and Tragic Slip to keep their creatures busy with extra support from Oblivion Ring. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad provides both Tokens to block with and an Emblem that pumps all my creatures to deal the final blow.

My sideboard can deal with heavy graveyard plays and aggro decks with Cremate and Blind Obedience. High Priest of Penance can also help when I am facing a very creature heavy deck. Terminus is a reliable board wipe that removes everything, even indestructible. Lastly, Sundering Growth is a great Naturalize that can duplicate my Tokens.

I ran this deck at Dragon's Maze gameday and came in 3rd! Went 2-0 for my first three rounds and 1-2 for my fourth. I learned a lot about this deck's matchup against aggro (Mizzium Mortars kills Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Pillar of Flame negates Doomed Traveler's death trigger). I continue to be impressed by both Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Obzedat, Ghost Council late game when gaining back lost life is so important.

Overall I really enjoy this deck a lot. I believe there are still ways to improve it, like adding Liliana of the Veil, but as the majority of the deck is going to rotate out at the end of the summer, I might just leave it be.
