There are several cards - 18 in total - that force your opponent to discard, like Mind Rot, Ravenous Rats , Cry of Contrition and so on.
Benefiting from it you find Shrieking Affliction and Quest for the Nihil Stone that are a tremendous threat.
Cry of Contrition can make diverse combos due to its haunt ability: Cry of Contrition + Doom Blade or Geth's Verdict or King Macar, the Gold-Cursed | Augur of Skulls + Cry of Contrition
Okay, Crypt Ghast is not a very sinergic card here, but I find it a really good creature and it has shown its usefulness.
If you manage to combine Blood Scrivener and Sire Of Insanity, you'll see how great this guys work together.
