Welcome!

Hey you! Yes, you!

Tired of playing against people that run Rest in Peace against your Muldrotha deck? Is that annoying Phenax player milling you to death before you say "oh f@#$ there goes my combo"? You came to the right place :)

I present to you Ludevic "Millmyself" Necrogenius! A deck that will mill and exile ITSELF before your opponents can even comprehend what's going on. You will be smashing with an unblockable 10/10 infect by turn 5 (earlier if you don't care about losing some friends!). You will be destroying every creature just to play that goddamned Ludevic again, but transformed into something MORE ANNOYING. You will be winning by combo, drawing every card of your deck with infinite mana (Laboratory Maniac). You will be winning by sheer commander damage. You will be losing your soul while playing this.

  • Holy s@#$, who let this guy join the game??! - Some random player on Cockatrice
  • I'll never trust you again. - My (ex)girlfriend
  • That's it, I'm switching to Pokemon... - Post Malone
Even though every single creature has a lot of value as a target for Ludevic's ability, here are some of the most notables:

  • Blighted Agent: With six creatures exiled, you transform Ludevic in a 10/10 infect that's unblockable. Chaotic Evil.
  • Simic Manipulator: Since Olag gains free +1/+1 counters, you can abuse this to steal big threats on the table. Eat that Memnarch.
  • Necrotic Ooze: The only two creatures we don't want to exile are Pili-Pala and Palladium Myr. Infinite mana combo that you can use to cast Torment of Hailfire or a beautiful Drown in Dreams to mill your opponents or win by drawing your entire deck with Laboratory Maniac.
  • Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur: The more you draw, the more you get to discard (we love doing that here). The more your opponents are forced to discard, the more miserable they are. Win/win card always.
  • It That Betrays and Artisan of Kozilek: You are basically cheating into play a less powerful Eldrazi with Annihilator 2 for five manas... Enjoy before the ban hammer hits.
  • Phage the Untouchable: I can't believe I missed her in my first version of this deck. But she was fated to be here.
  • Mesmeric Orb: I love this card. Plain, simple, annoying. Since we won't have a big board, we will mill around 3 to 10 cards in average.
  • Altar of Dementia: There's never enough mill, plus we get to sac Olag if we need to reset him. Ashnod's Altar has the same purpose.
  • Sludge Monster: Nothing like turning Ulamog in a 2/2 with no abilities to feel like you are inevitable.

    Updates Add

Some cards have been performing amazingly, even better than expected. Particularly, Jin-Gitaxias in turn 5 is a power house if you get Olag to copy him. Too much draw and discard for you, too much discard for your opponents. Here comes the big but though: quite a few cards are underperforming, either because they are 1. missing a little push or 2. just trash. A good first case example would be Phage. It is incredibly easy to transform Olag  Flip in Phage, it is incredibly hard to connect damage to opponents. This has gotten me thinking that the deck needs more evasion, but in the form of enchantments/instants/sorceries. Cards like Cloak of Mists. A very good second case example would be Bottle Golems. There is never an opportunity where transforming Ludevic  Flip into Bottle Golems is good, even if you need the extra life. I've learned that is just better to put strong, heavy effect monsters rather than utility ones, since Ludevic's  Flip effect is actually quite expensive to activate (and the only reason why I think he is balanced). This goes for all utlity creatures in the deck that add draw, life, etc. Now, it would be good to end this update with the strong/weak sides of the deck:

    Pros:

    • Super fast
    • Super fun
    • Cheap commander
    • High sinergy
    • You always get to do what it's meant to do: discard and exile cards (your own, mostly)

    Cons:

    • Draw sucks
    • Mana hungry, not very good in black/blue where ramp is not easy
    • Voltron-like deck (usually it's just Ludevic  Flip or his transformation on the field, open to get attacked easily)
    • Unreliable finishers (some evasion could fix this)
