This deck takes advantage of the synergies between the elf token generator Lys Alana Huntmaster and other elves-matter cards, such as Jagged-Scar Archers, Shaman of the Pack, and Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen.

Magic: Duels has a unique set of restrictions, differentiating it from other constructed formats: First, the legal cards consist of both a small assortment from various past setsall assigned the "Duels" expansion symbol as well as a select number of cards from every expansion beginning with and following Magic Origins. Second, all rarities above common are limited: Decks can only include three of the same uncommon, two of the same rare, and one of the same mythic rare. In these restrictions, elves have proven the most heavily supported archetype, with cards allowing for great elves-matter synergy.
