The purpose of this deck is to get 30 life, flip the Chalice of Life , drain the opponent's life for a few turns then call it a game.

Avacyn's Pilgrim Helps ramp a little.

Chalice of Life Absorbs those early hits if you go against a quick deck or just get off to a slow start.

Dawntreader Elk Ramps and can do some decent chumping.

Deadly Recluse Protection from fliers with deathtouch.

Divine Deflection Attack and defend simultaneously. Sometimes all you need is to shave off one point of damage.

Faith's Shield Very useful for saving a creature or the cups.

Feed the Pack + Tree of Redemption = 13 wolves is bad. Cash in the Tree after trading to a higher life total to make it worse.

Rhox Faithmender+ Tree of Redemption = Watch your life double. The bigger the difference, the more you get.

Shelterng Word+Rhox Faithmender or Tree of Redemption = Protection from some kill spell plus a life boost.

After plying with this deck for a while, it's time for an update. I found out that a an opponent with enough creature removal like Supreme Judgement or Blasphemous Act can cause a lot of problems. Rootbound Defenses and having a planeswalker in there help out.

Another problem was that unless the cups are flipped, this deck can have a hard time finishing, so I added Akroma's Memorial to give the team evasion and protection. Versus creatures, I added Smite and the new Renounce the Guilds; nearly all my stuff is mono-colored, so it can get rid of stuff like Assemble the Legion. Blind Obedience helps to gain life incrementally while holding attackers off.

Mill decks that use Mind Grind or control decks that use stuff like Slaughter Games can be a problem, but Nevermore has a chance to preempt those attacks.
