Here's a fun deck I've been slowly building for the last few months. It still needs a few things added like Another Cabal Coffers, but this is one of my stronger decks.
The idea is to get out your colorless mana ramp stuff as quickly as possible, starting with a
City of Traitors
, into Grim Monolith and
Voltaic Key
, as they are almost a stitch in this to get out
Urza's Armor
, Gauntlet of Power and Caged Sun (always choose swamp for GOP & CS). If you get lucky, there's always the chance of 2nd turn Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, but don't rely on it. Personally, I've turn 2 a
Urza's Armor
, so the mana ramp is especially effective.
After a bit of colorless mana ramp has come out and shown yourself as a target, you should probably drop a creature, or at least a
Breeding Pit
to defend yourself. After that, put out a Pestilence, and pestilence as you can (without killing your own creatures if possible, but if
Breeding Pit
is out, no worries tap one swamp while a caged sun is out for cumulative upkeep.) and slowly build up your other mana ramping like Liliana of the Dark Realms, (she makes as a great punching bag while building up your swamp structure) trying to get her emblem. When that is finished, usually around turn 3-5 (on a good-decent game), you should be able to Diabolic Tutor for either
Flickering Ward
or Pentarch Ward to give to a Pestilence Demon or large(r) creature COP black to protect from Pestilence, and go to TOWN!!
I've had a ton of fun with it in friendly multi person games, and just wanting some positive feed back or possible comments on replacements of certain cards to make this more 1v1 friendly! thanks for looking and taking the time to read as this is my first post here :) (please let me know if I've mislabeled anything!)
