I recently built a Hazezon Tamar deck, it is deadly

The Hazezon Tamar is really the only expensive card on the list. The deck doesn't need to cost as much as it might initially seem. You don't need to worry about fetching lands and shock lands. Low cost mana fixing seems good enough. Its more important to have more green mana available and the mana ramp cards to go with it. By the time you're ready to cast the commander, you've got all the colours you need.

The next most expensive card in my deck is Doubling Season it isn't even that necessary. Parallel Lives or Anointed Procession are often a better option since the mana cost is less, sure you don't get the 1+/1+ counters, but it its not always how I get my anthem boost cards. The token doubler that I like most is Flameshadow Conjuring since it serves the purpose of doubling the tokens created and a sac outlet for Hazezon.

Some other go to all stars in the deck include Cathars' Crusade I managed to use Second Harvest on an existing 26 meager 2/2 tokens producing 702 points of damage.

I also like Lovisa Coldeyes and Knight of New Alara to pump my creatures. I often choose to fetch for those creatures as opposed to Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite since they work equally as well without causing my opponents to freak out.
