This is the most asinine EDH deck I have ever conceived, and possibly the best. Basically, you just use Maralen of the Mornsong to grab some of the dirtiest insta-win combos in the game.

I consider this deck to be semi-original, in the sense that a lot of these combos are old news. Still, I've never seen anyone try to put them all together into one brick o' cards before. I don't think this will break the EDH format by any means, but it is still very competitive.

This deck is mostly land, and a large portion of the nonland cards in it are mana gen. Maralen totally removes probability from the equation. While lucky draws can give you a win by turn 3 (even/especially in multiplayer), turn 5 is when this deck reliably kills everyone else.

Exquisite Blood + Maralen of the Mornsong with either Sanguine Bond or Defiant Bloodlord. The latter is just in place for redundancy.

Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void Y'already know.

Hatred + Inkmoth Nexus What you get for not running Giant Mantis .

Bloodchief Ascension + Maralen of the Mornsong + Mindcrank Turn 4-player Magic against itself.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion Pretty cut and dry, but too expensive and should only be used as a second-to-last resort.

On a similar note, Basalt Monolith + Exsanguinate + Rings of Brighthearth is just another necessary backup plan once everyone figures out the greasy kinda Magic they're up against.

Necropotence + Reliquary Tower or redundantly a Spellbook and grab you an Ivory Tower + Sculpting Steel to counteract all the life you're paying.

Maralen of the Mornsong + Teferi's Puzzle Box Nobody gets to have a hand whilst you topdeck everything you need.

No Mercy and Lethal Vapors are just stall cards while the engine gets running, along with all the spot removal. They can also provoke opponents into wasting their precious direct-destruction spells on menacing-looking enchantments that are ultimately superfluous to your win-con. Chainer, Dementia Master provides further stall by stealing all the dead from everybody.

While Maralen is a fairly wimpy commander, her Group Hug Tutor component makes her an unlikely target for spot removal. Who doesn't love searching their decks for their craziest and most improbable win-con? Timmy grabs his Inkwell Leviathan and Johnny grabs his Krark-Clan Ironworks. The most savvy and terrified players all rush for their counterspells. Let 'em. There's so many win-cons, nobody will stop them all. It's a double-edged sword, for sure, but the name of the game is comboing off before everyone gets a chance to.

This deck is not without weaknesses. Harmonic Sliver and Aura Shards all kick Maralen square in the teeth and there's very little she can do about it. Even a single, well-timed Disenchant can set the engine back 3 turns. So, while this deck could certainly be described as a glass cannon, it is one of the fastest firing and most ubiquitously destructive glass cannons I have ever seen built.

Cards that didn't make it:

Ob Nixilis, Unshackled is basically just too slow. If you give people time to figure out what's happening to them, they'll work too hard to prevent it.

Ad Nauseam + Dark Sphere + Sickening Dreams is a popular Maralen brew, and it's great so long as you don't have plans put any other nonland cards in the deck and don't mind losing to a single Counterspell.

My take on MotM is definitely more expensive, but also a little more resilient. It should also be noted that Imperial Seal accounts for a solid 75% of this deck's cost and is totally non-essential. You could replace it with a kill spell or even the aforementioned Ob Nixilis, Unshackled if you're a fan of petty shit that doesn't immediately win you the game and does immediately put a massive crosshair on your head.
