Mardu Midrange - Remove ALL THE Things!!

Standard Midrange RBW (Mardu)

ShiftyPowers57

Maybeboard

Edit: The point of the deck is early game board control with constant/consistent removal while building up to Sorin/Nahiri/Sin Prodder damage.

I find that Oblivion Sower is a nice tutor target for Nahiri's ult, despite being a filler card. The potential additional land is nice to have. Potentially.

Lot of filler here since I'm not yet crazy enough to dump everything in Magic. Filler such as Thraben Inspector, Rancid Rats , and Accursed Witch

Not sure how to replace some of these cards. Maybe something else to drop with Nahiri. Any help would be beautiful.

Very much inspired by Salaar's mardu deck.

Took the deck to FNM last night as is and ended up going 2-2 (really 1-2 since my first opponent was a no-show).

First round: No-show, like I said.

Result: Undefeated, baby!

Second round, match one: Played against a B/G ramp deck that focused on Delirium and pulling Mindrack Demon from the deck. Pretty easy game. The removal was too much and my deck was firing on all cylinders. A late game Sin Prodder actually pulled it off for me.

Second round, match two: Because I'm not running a sideboard, I watched as he edited his. Not sure what he changed, but it almost worked for him - or I just had some bad luck. Ended up taking me down to 2 life with two Delirium'd Mindracks, but I had a Sin Prodder and a Dark-Dweller on the field, and with a nice top deck removal, knocked out one of his demons. Finished it with their menace.

Result: 2-0.

Round three, match one: Played against a pretty similar deck, but was WU control - also undefeated. The first round was a cakewalk. Every time he threw something down, I blew it up. He ended up scooping mid-way through.

Round three, match two & three: Both played out the same way. I was a turn behind on mana and just couldn't keep up. He was pumping out Planeswalkers faster than I could destroy them because he had some counters in his hand.

Result: 1-2 (I was his only loss on the night)

Round four, match one & two: WG human weenie deck. The only loss I'm actually upset about because this is a match up I should always, always win. Both games my screwy mana pool messed me up. I would have won the second round, but instead of drawing a mountain needed for a three damage Radiant Flames to clear his board, I drew Evolving Wilds, putting me a turn behind. Very sad times.

Result: 0-2.
