Platinum Angel - Premiere game staller, its even better that its an artifact
Solemn Simulacrum - "The Sad Robot", basic fetcher and a cantrip when it dies. With the mana advantage of this deck it has so much value you could kiss it.
Sundering Titan - Since we run one color it only hits us for one but can hit opps. for way more. Getting this out early and see the look on peoples faces when you destroy their mana base is great.
Treasure Mage - Fetches all our creature base, its the reason we're even running blue. I mean its fanatic...
Wurmcoil Engine - Great card if you need to trade or chump for, cause you get the mini-coils. Basically survives Oblivion Stone
Instances
Condescend - We need counters to hang in there, heres one of them. Plus scry 2
Remand - and here is the other one. The premiere removal in modern
Repeal - This is the other way we deal with problems, bouncing. Plus its a cantrip
Spell Burst - Last counter, but this one can come back to us.
Thirst for Knowledge - One big cantrip with the draw back of pitching a artifact. Most likely ditching Solemn Simulacrum or Expedition Map when you're good on lands
Artifacts
Expedition Map - Our Urza land fetcher
Mindslaver - This is our alt win con, if you cant value creature and hit the face. You Mindslaver take their turn and win like that.
Oblivion Stone - Big 'ol boardwipe with Urza lands this is really effective in dealing with things bounces and counters cant.
Talisman of Dominance - Further upping our major colorless mana count, also can be used as a U/B pain land which is helpful for our sideboarded Dismember
Land
Academy Ruins - Artifact creature graveyard fetching
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds - Can evade any land targeting, I like it personally. Can just be replaced by a basic Island
Tectonic Edge - Blowing up even more lands for control reasons. Sundering Titan has a friend
Urza's Mine / Urza's Power Plant / Urza's Tower - The Urza Tron lands, able to a total of 7 colorless mana to your mana pool. Making this whole deck work from Oblivion Stone to Platinum Angel.
Sideboard
Chalice of the Void - Against Death & Taxes (also know as Mono-White Weenie) this counter spell artifact is great. Able to counter all the 1-3 converted mana cost. Sound be sideboarded for any low CMC deck
Cyclonic Rift - Against any swarm or zoo decks with a high creature base you want to sideboard in this card. Able to basically boardwipe them
Dismember - Great removal for any deck. Sideboard in against any deck with hard-to-deal with creatures like Indestructibly or just high end value creatures.
Hurkyl's Recall - Against any mirror matches like, G/R tron or another U-tron this card is fanatic. Also great against Affinity deck
Pithing Needle - More affinity hate. Also against any artifact mana based decks
Relic of Progenitus - Graveyard hate. Plus cantrip
Squelch & Trickbind - Perfect for any deck with high end activated abilities
Maybeboard
Most maybeboard cards are because of price like -
Karn Liberated / Snapcaster Mage / Ugin, the Spirit Dragon / Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
But others are cards that I think you can run that would make good subs for other cards or cards that we be fine for the deck.
