Ramp and smash. There really isn't much too it! Dem big fat creatures have always been my favorites since I started playing and this deck showcases quite a few.

More or less the point of the deck is to hit six lands and drop Mayael to play creatures at instant speed. The deck toolboxes fairly well, running about 3 of each role type that I considered creatures could be, eg. player defense, creature defense, removal, etc.

Using Scroll Rack setting up specific creatures is much easier and for 1 more mana, allows you to play creatures from your hand at instant speed for 7. Otherwise fairly straight forward, smash face with scary stuff.

Synergies

Novablast Wurm + Avacyn, Angel of Hope = Erething ded

Patron of the Orochi + Mayael the Anima = (Attempt) to get something every turn (less threatening than Seedborn Muse)

Lurking Predators + Some kind of top deck manipulation Congregation at Dawn/Worldly Tutor/Scroll Rack = Drop bombs in response to spells
