An idea for the Challenge card for RDB, Medomai the Ageless.
The theme here is the Rules text "When [creature] deals combat damage to a player..."
To that length I have included Fireshrieker as a way to get multiple triggers from one attack (Especially helpful since Medomai the Ageless can't attack on extra turns). In addition, to assist with card advantage, we have Bident of Thassa.
I included Hands of Binding as a form of recurring removal to fit with the theme of the deck. To avoid looking similar to Mono-blue Devotion, I only included Supreme Verdict as a three-of, and Sphinx's Revelation as a one-of. However, I could not exclude them altogether as they are simply much too powerful to not use them at all.
Nyx-Fleece Ram provides an early game blocker as well as a way of gaining some extra life on the long road to Medomai the Ageless (he does, after all, cost 6 mana). For that very same reason, Daxos of Meletis and Fiendslayer Paladin both provide some extra life as well, both having some pseudo-evasion.
I haven't done sideboard work yet. I'll get to it eventually.
I will build and test this deck as soon as I can, but if someone gets the chance before me, let me know how it goes!
UPDATE: Added 4x Detention Sphere in place of Aqueous Form. Felt that removing threats was better than simply going around them.
UPDATE: Removed 3x Mana Confluence in exchange for 2x Island and 1x Plains. The extra fixing (and loss of life) is not really necessary.
