A modified cheap-ish version of the Melira Pod Modern netdeck. It includes the combo of Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Murderous Redcap + Viscera Seer with other sacrifice outlets and Kitchen Finks for combo redundancy. The main plan, though, is to beat down off of an early Birthing Pod accelerated by Birds of Paradise, Elves of Deep Shadow, and Avacyn's Pilgrim (the latter two being budget replacements for Noble Hierarch, hopefully only until it's reprinted in Modern Masters 2015). Once Birthing Pod is active, this deck uses it to gain value from strong enters-the-battlefield triggers like Reveillark, Thragtusk, Siege Rhino, Kitchen Finks, and Eternal Witness. This deck cost about $250 to buy from the local store. I removed fetchlands and Noble Hierarch from the list to keep the price down. The main cards causing the price to be as high as it is are (of course) the lands - this deck uses all Abzan-colored shocklands, Scars of Mirrodin taplands, and a few checklands in place of fetches. A key card this deck is still missing is Orzhov Pontiff.

Without an uncontested turn two Birthing Pod, this deck has a pretty hard time against Temur Control.
