My take on Meren.

Shenanigan: Buried Alive Vorinclex, Sheoldred and Sidisi, Reanimate Vorinclex. Get Meren out as soon as possible, sac stuff while everything is locked, Sidisi tutor whatever you need to continue your shenanigans, then Sheoldred.

Woodfall Primus + Mikaeus + Altar of Dimentia or any sac outlet.

Thats really it in shenanigan world.

Speed is important and Meren decks need time for setup. So, ETB effects - wipe the board how you can with cards like Fleshbag. Abyssal helps. I'm toying with more low CC Eldrazi that make things when they ETB for mana and XP fuel for Meren. Panharmonicon is surprisingly awesome. ETB is doubled! Aids in lockdown and super food for Meren to get your bigs out faster if you can fill the yard; easy with Satyr Wayfinder.

Panharm + Wood elves, Grave Titan, Reclamation Sage, (drifts off....) oh, and Gonti!? yes please.

Hope of Ghilapur you ask? Early game annoyance if you can. Otherwise, chump flying blocker plus can sac for free fuel for Meren. Meren can bring it right back. Repeat.

The rest is pretty standard stuff - Tutor for wipes when things get bad. Reanimates if creatures are needed, etc...

Weaknesses: Draw. I find myself with no cards in hand, often. Graveyard hate destroys this deck.

Many cheaper replacements for cards like Greater Good - I needed sac outlets other than Altar of Dimentia and Viscera Seer. That seemed appropriate, but Phyrexian Altar is a few bucks cheaper. And Bayou? yea, easily tossed for something simple like Guildgates.
