Meren of Clan Nel Toth is widely considered one of the most powerful commander options in Golgari colors. Her ability to bring creatures back from the graveyard is easily abused and that is exactly what this deck is trying to do. There are many creatures that either sacrifice themselves for an effect, or have good ETBs to abuse with Meren. If your opponents do not deal with Meren of Clan Nel Toth quickly, it becomes very easy to assemble locks that are very difficult to break. (I still need to upgrade the land base.)
