Touch of Death! Touch of Death!

As all my friends, relatives, casual acquaintances, Congressional representatives, etc. know, Yuriko is the Elder Dragon Highlander of my heart. Part of the magic of Yuriko is that she's viable at any power level, and, while there are cards and strategies that clearly suit her, she's not really a monobuild until you approach CEDH. At lower power levels, she can be good in decks that diverge quite a bit from the typical Yuriko build.

This deck is not your grandma's Yuriko deck, so if she tries to run it, tell her to get her own. This deck is a jank Yuriko deck. The normal strategy with Yuriko is to use cheap, evasive creatures to enable ninjutsu. Board control is normally a weak point for Yuriko decks, making them into glass cannons vulnerable to big Timmy beatdown. This deck, conversely, attempts to maximize deathtouch and creature removal so that Yuriko can simply walk through.

Type conversion is better in this deck than in most Yuriko decks because you're not likely to get in as many actual ninja hits as most Yuriko decks would get, but I'm leaving out cards that benefit from tribes because you won't have a tribe unless you can keep type conversion cards on the field. (I'm noticing a pattern where I tell people type conversion in Yuriko decks is overrated and then keep finding builds that really want it, but I stand by my conviction that a normal Yuriko deck has better uses for those card slots.)

Homeward Path is here just because theft is overrepresented at my kitchen table. Because it says "he or she," though, I recommend running it any time you play against someone who goes by "they/them" or neopronouns, as that makes it asymmetrical. Somebody in the comments is going to point out that every card with "he or she" on it has been errata'd, so if you play against that person, sneak an R&D's Secret Lair onto the table while they're not looking.
