Narset , Enlightened Master is a Commander that is widely regarded as solved. For the uninitiated, she usually played as a very linear race to the finish canon. The general strategy is to ramp her out as quickly as possible and to cast her with protection and haste. Once combat begins, her attack trigger does the heaving lifting. These builds run a high density of extra turn and extra combat steps which chain together to either commander damage out opponents, or to cast a line using ETI (enter the infinite). Similar to the Juggernaut from the Marvel comics universe, once Narset gets moving she is almost impossible to stop. These builds as many run 15 or more of these effects and combined with a bit of top deck manipulation this density ensures you will almost always hit. While very powerful, that strategy comes with its inherent weaknesses of very poor general card quality. A large portion of the deck is uncastable and heavily relies on not only Narset being on the field to be relevant, but also to be in the top four cards of the library on trigger.

We have removed the bulk of these effects opting to leave only those that are essential for the ETI lines as a combo finisher. This allows us to play far more interaction and include some stax elements to make life harder for our opponents. The main finishing sequence remains the same. The goal remains to cast Narset with haste and protection and to swing. The difference is we are looking to swing with a tutor effect having placed ETI on the top of our library before combat. We run mystical tutor, personal tutor, long term plans, muddle the mixture (transmute for long term plans)to achieve this.

Once ETI is cast from Narset's trigger , we draw our deck and place Omniscience at the top of the library. We then exile two red cards to cast fury of the horde from hand and attack once again with Narset to cast omniscience. From here we have all of our protection in hand and we cast one of the two shuffle warps (nexus of fate or beacon of tomorrows). This allows us to chain infinite turns and eliminate opponents.

The deck runs a Wheel package along with wheel payoffs. The mana rock heavy nature allows us to empty our hand and then refill via a wheel, hopefully disrupting our opponents plans in the process. Smothering tithe can provide massive amounts of mana following a wheel, Narset, Parter of Veils calls back to our old friend Leovold, and the friendly neighborhood cat purse Alms collector does his best notion thief impersonation.

Possibility storm is also an incredibly strong stax effect if played prior to Narset. She is already notoriously hard to remove but the enchantment makes it impossible to interact. The storm also creates a lock with Teferi, the Time Raveler and Lavinia by not allowing opponents to cast off of the triggers and both effect are asymmetrical.

The deck currently needs back up wincons , as relying on ETI solely will lead to many bad games. I believe there are ways to make the new Jace a win condition or Chaining spells with Ral zarek to ping opponents to death but the deck is still being tested and adapted
