This is my first attempt at a Standard deck! I built the deck around Atarka, World Render which I've traded out for the new and improved Dragonlord Atarka . I've included a solid and reliable mana ramp, some nice burn (Lightning Strike, Crater's Claws) and some very versatile utility (Atarka's Command & Temur Charm )... then of course a hard hitting aggro line-up.

The ideal flow would be:
Turn 1) Field a forest and an Elvish Mystic.
Turn 2) Field another land (preferably one with red or blue or both) and a Sylvan Caryatid.
Turn 3) Bring out Xenagos, the Reveler if you have him in-hand for more ramp, or Savage Knuckleblade (who is a heavy hitter for his mana cost and sports an impressive selection of abilities).
Turn 4) At this point, you want to get out Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker, Surrak Dragonclaw, OR if you were able to get Xenagos, the Reveler out and you have it, play Dragonlord Atarka who is your real MVP here. He swings for 8 with trample, and deals 5 damage to a creature or planeswalker ( Roast with wings, anyone?) as he enters the field.
5) If you weren't able to get Dragonlord Atarka out in turn 4, you definitely want to now. If you still haven't drawn him, Xenagos, God of Revels or more Savage Knuckleblade s are great too (you'll never have too many out, they are amazing!).

I want to strongly emphasize that you should NOT be afraid to mulligan several times if the mana ramp isn't in your draw hand. Once the ramp is out you're unstoppable, don't even try and play without the ramp. You want at the very least a forest and a Elvish Mystic in your first hand. An example: I called mulligan twice after two absolutely terrible hands, the second time I drew a forest, a Elvish Mystic, Sylvan Caryatid, Xenagos, the Reveler and Atarka, World Render , and Atarka was out on Turn 4.
