Hello, old player returning after a long hiatus thanks to my 8yo son: we saw a Might vs. Magic in a shop and here we are. We're having some good fun with it but I feel there's room for improvement, not too make them over competitive but more fun to play.
Here's the RG deck, let me hear what you think of it.
Rational for the choices:
- little & big Radha plus Descendants' Path and Rampant Growth to ramp, the latter also taking out lands to enable Descendants to work at its best
- Lovisa Coldeyes,Vanquisher's Banner & Coat of Arms to pump the board (even if in truth this is true for almost everyone in the deck as I tried to go for synergies wherever I could
- Domri, Anarch of Bolas is there only because after seeing Oko and Rowan he went all "Dad, I want a funny lieutenant too!", the choice was between this, Xenagos, the Reveler, Arlinn Kord
and Chandra, Torch of Defiance
Notes:
- I know it is sub optimal and lacks the needed redundancy, plus leaving out interesting possibilities like the Gruul Spellbreaker but it's been long since I last did it so feel free to point out any and all mistakes
- I feel it is a bit on the too slow side, but I cannot find many ramps (if any!!) among Warriors, which is important here for obvious flavour reasons here (actually in any deck, I always tended to favour themed even in the old times before tribes, going for mono Dark or Ice Age only)
- would it be worth to substitute Rugged Highlands with Rootbound Crag ?
So, what are your opinions?
Finally, I'll post the Mind UR as soon as I finish it but I'm still a bit undecided there. Should I go for Spellslinger Burn or Damocles' Suspend? Hmmmm....
