Minion of the Mighty!!!
Okay, so the concept here is simple, funny, and fine. Make Minion of the Mighty big with Scale Up or Blazing Shoal, then put whatever monster dragon into play with its ability to one shot the opponent. there are 4 options in this build:
Terror of Mount Velus - classic standard combo piece. 2 double strikers for minimum 22 is great and the usual way to win.
Dragonlord Atarka - clearance. on top of being a trampler to get over any blockers and an 8/8 beatstick, her ability cleans up any blockers that might occur in the early turns to clear the way for a free attack.
Dragon Tyrant - beatstick. 6/6 double strike is just barely good enough with Blazing Shoal to deal the 20 needed, and being a 10 drop, contributes 10 power to a future shoal. like the next card it's not often going to stick around sadly because of the upkeep cost.
Nicol Bolas - disruption. how can the opponent play the game if they have no cards in hand? even at the weakest combo hit at 13 damage minimum, forcing the opponent to ditch their whole hand is insanely powerful. upkeep cost sucks, but gotta live with it to get the goods.
With a direct need for minion of the mighty, a little bit of consistency is needed, so Gamble and Faithless Looting do their best to find the cheeky kobold. Gamble is sometimes a blowout, but that's the cost of a cheap tutor. and Pyrokinesis is budget Fury to clear the way of some threats. Seriously, this is supposed to be like, super budget legacy sort of, and 50 cents is easier than 25$. If that's not a concern, then go ahead and make that switch, fury is the better card. Pyroblast because it makes an unwinnable matchup into a maybe steal a win here and there matchup.
Budget me harder wizards, I don't know if I can go any cheaper on lands without sacrificing speed and reliability, but I guess I've no choice but find out soon!
