The deck is designed to have a stout creature defense in order to prevent attacks and allow milling in the background. In a lot of ways large flyers like Delver of Secrets   and Jace's Phantasm are better at preventing combat damage by discouraging attacks than cards like Vapor Snag or Moment's Peace which seek to avoid it. Plus, big flyers have the added benefit of being win conditions on their own. Augur of Bolas and Merfolk Secretkeeper provide both defense and amazing Dream Stalker targets for added value and even more defense. Once the creatures are out (play them first) then sit back on Didn't Say Please and Thought Collapse to protect defenses and run out their deck.
