This deck is heavily based off of Deck Bent Over, Raised Up Posterior with improvements from discussions within the Phenax EDH Primer and originally started as a budget build but over time evolved to include larger pieces.

Mill Engine

The fun stuff.Phenax, God of Deception inherited ability for all the creatures to mill for their toughness is the primary way of milling out opponents. In order to do this, the deck focuses on being able to play large toughness creatures to tap to mill opponents.

Primary Mill Creatures

The following creatures are used to create tokens for blocking/milling more

• Undead Alchemist will create 2/2 zombie tokens as we mill out creatures
• Oona, Queen of the Fae can at instant speed, mill target opponent's library to create 1/1 UB faerie rogues
• Nemesis of Reason will mill ten cards for every attack regardless of whether its blocked or not
• Eater of the Dead will become very useful after a small graveyard is established. You would tap Eater to mill an opponent, use Eater's ability to exile creature from graveyard to untap. Rinse and repeat to mill.
• Herald of Anguish discards a card from each opponents' hand and has the added benefit of a large toughness.
• Jace, Memory Adept 0 loyalty ability is a mill 10 ability
• Consuming Aberration fits 2 uses, mill when you cast a spell, and has power and hp equal to all cards in all opponents' graveyards
• Jace's Archivist is used to mill cards through discard and draw

Artifacts

• Altar of the Brood with all the tokens we attempt to generate, plus land drops and other permanent drops, this artifact can do a lot of milling.
• Keening Stone for the initial 6 mana and then 5 to activate, if the milling engine is in place, this can be the win condition.
• Mindcrank will mill opponents whenever they receive damage
• Thousand-Year Elixir allows us to tap creatures/tokens immediately when they enter the battlefield to start
