Why I think Mina and Denn, Wildborn is a better (or at least more fun) red/green commander than Omnath, Locus of Rage:

1) They only cost 4 mana (and are easier to cast again if they get killed).

2) They help you ramp (playing two lands a turn feels great).

3) They let you bounce lands back to your hand (which lets you win if you have Avenger of Zendikar, Titania, Protector of Argoth, or Omnath, Locus of Rage down).

4) They allow you to play a very flexible deck (they don't force you to go agro from the get go. You can take your time to ramp and deal with threats before drawing and playing your deck).

When I play Mina and Denn, Wildborn I want the game to go as follows:

-Start the game with a hand that lets me play more lands, fetch more lands, and play my commander as soon as possible.

-Ramp until I have enough mana to play whatever I want and have at least one source to draw cards (Regal Force, Soul of the Harvest, Elemental Bond, Garruk's Packleader, Collective Unconscious, Shamanic Revelation, etc).

-Drop a wincon (Omnath, Locus of Rage, Rampaging Baloths, Titania, Protector of Argoth, Avenger of Zendikar, or keep Craterhoof Behemoth in hand) and start trying to draw my deck. This will usually help another wincon surface as a backup (which usually will help you draw more cards too) and give you cards to deal with the scary things your opponents might have at this stage of the game (you got Song of the Dryads, Beast Within, and Terastodon to deal with specific threats; Blasphemous Act if your big creatures are getting exploded and you are being out ramped. Don't forget about Glacial Chasm if your in a pinch. If you have Mina and Denn, Wildborn out you can bounce it back to your hand to avoid the cumulative upkeep.)

-At this point you will either be scary enough to win the game or you'll be dead. Either way you will have had a good time.
