I really wanted to make an angel deck that wouldn't be too expensive.
This deck is mainly based on
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
. Some of the enchantments have a big mana cost, but when
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
attack or block, it doesn't cost a thing to put them on her. One of the good combos is with
Ordeal of Heliod
: when you have 3 counters on Bruna, each time you attack you gain 10 life because Bruna, light of alabaster can take it from the graveyard.
It has some great angels so that even if
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
never comes into play, you have powerful creatures on whom you can put some enchantments to boost them and make lots of damage almost directly on the player (because they're flying).
Adarkar Valkyrie returns a creature into play when this creature is about to be put into graveyard (like a Gift of Immortality), and you can also take opponents dying creatures and put them into your control.
Stoic Angel is a funny card, knowing that half of your creatures have vigilance, and Angelic Skirmisher can give vigilance when you attack to the other creatures.
Angelic Skirmisher is really nice, and even nicer when you have more then one because you can have all your creature becoming vigilance and lifelink during your attack step, and lifelink and first strike during the opponents attack step (an exemple if you have to of them on the play).
Avacyn's Pilgrim, Elvish Mystic and
Somberwald Sage
give mainly some ramp so you can cast the angels earlier.
Steward of Valeron
also give a good defense and/or attack early game.
Don't hesitate to give me some advices. Just remember that I would like to keep it budget :).
