This is my Simic Momir Vig, Simic Visionary commander deck. Momir tutors for any creature when a blue/green creature is played, making creature combos amazing. This deck wins by answering high powered spells, cloning other people's permanents, and playing politics until certain combos are achievable. Ezuri, Clone of Mo' Mirror is a clone of this deck, with some changes to make it more aggressive.

Early game ramp is important in the EDH format. Additional land drops and land search is generally better than creature or artifact ramp since lands generally stick around longer and deck thinning is useful. The following can be used in the deck to ramp early game into the late game-
Drawing cards is important in EDH to get to removal cards and to get to win conditions. The following can be used to draw additional cards each turn or to reorder cards in the library-
Being part blue, this deck does run a few powerful counterspells. Counterspells in this deck are generally used to prevent removal and to stop opponents from outright winning. If an opponent plays a powerful creature, such as Avacyn, Angel of Hope, this deck would rather clone it over countering or removing it. The following are some counterspells with various abilities-
  • Disallow - counters spells or abilities. Useful to stop a planeswalker ultimate.

  • Voidslime - counters spells or abilities. Useful to stop a planeswalker ultimate.

  • Mystic Snake - counters spells and can be cloned to counter more spells

  • Venser, Shaper Savant - instead of countering spells, this returns the spell from the stack to the hand. This works around uncounterable abilities and can be cloned to "counter" more spells.

Removal is useful in EDH to stop opponent from winning, and to get rid of problem cards that shut this deck down.

The following can be used to remove any permanent-

  • Beast Within - one of the better removal spells in green since it can destroy anything at instant speed

  • Song of the Dryads - prison effect removal that can remove a problematic commander for a number of turns

  • Venser, Shaper Savant - returns permanents at instant speed. Can be used to return your own permanents in response to a board wipe and can be cloned.

The following can be used to remove non creature permanents-

The following can be used to board wipe-

  • Cyclonic Rift - pretty op card that should win you the game

  • Bane of Progress - useful in this deck, as it doesn't run as many artifacts or enchantments as others

The following can be used for specific removal-

Removal is prevalent in EDH, meaning protection is necessary in the deck. The following can be used to prevent removal-

Although not as proactive, Eternal Witness can be used to recur cards after a board wipe, or to return spells from the graveyard to your hand

I love clones and I find them ever entertaining. Clones can be used to play opponent's cards, to clone powerful creatures in the deck, to play around problem cards such as Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and even to clone removal or counterspells. The following are some clones with various abilities-
Tutors are always useful in EDH. If Momir Vig, Simic Visionary becomes too expensive to play, other creature tutors can be used to win the game still. The following are some tutor cards with various abilities-
In the late game, certain board states can be achieved to take control of the game. With Prophet of Kruphix banned in commander, it is slightly harder in this deck, but this deck can still manage a superior board state. The following can be used to create such a board state-

This deck runs 4 different combos - 3 infinite mana combos and 1 infinite turn combo. The 3 mana combos revolve around Palinchron, Earthcraft, and Phyrexian Altar while the infinite turn combo revolves around Sage of Hours. Many of the combos require a bounce effect for creatures to reenter the battlefield multiple times.

The following can be used as bounce effects-
  • Deadeye Navigator - it doesn't get much cheaper than 2 mana to bounce a creature and return it to the battlefield

  • Cloudstone Curio - free effect while playing creatures and lets you recast creatures for more Momir triggers. With the right combo, this can get around Cursed Totem effects.

  • Temur Sabertooth - costs 2 to return to hand, but doesn't require an enter the battlefield effect, which can get around Torpor Orb

Palinchron is a unique card in that it pays for itself and has an ability to bounce itself. With the right combination of cards, Palinchron can produce infinite mana easily-
Earthcraft is an amazing mana ramp card. With basic lands in play, Earthcraft turns all of your creatures into Birds of Paradise without the need for haste. Token generators and 1 drops quickly pay for themselves. When a bounce effect is added to the board, infinite can be easily attained-

*Note that cheaper clones make these requirements less

Phyrexian Altar is one of the few sacrifice effects this deck uses, and for good reason. Being blue/green, this deck doesn't feature any recursion cards out side of Eternal Witness, so once a card hits the graveyard, it is generally gone in this deck. Despite this, Phyrexian Altar is a very powerful card - it can produce colored mana for sacrificing creatures, it can kill creatures rather than having them be exiled, it can be used set up your graveyard when someone plays a Living Death, and, unlike Earthcraft, it is a combo piece that Momir can tutor for through Trophy Mage. Token generators and bounce effects make Phyrexian Altar go infinite almost as easily as Earthcraft-

*Note that cheaper clones make these requirements less

Once infinite mana is produced, the following can be used to draw the entire deck:
  • Thrasios, Triton Hero - allows a scry first, which protects from decking yourself if a couple of turns are needed to win and a specific noncreature card is needed

  • Coiling Oracle and any bounce effect - doesn't have you draw cards, meaning that combo can be useful against "when you draw a card" cards (Nekusar, the Mindrazer).

Sage of Hours is one of the few creatures that allow players to take extra turns. If given 5 counters every turn, this card can produce infinite turns. The following can be used to produce at least 5 counters a turn-

*Note that these combos work around Torpor Orb effects

Once infinite is achieved, the deck can win a couple of ways-

Let me know what you think and how I should change the deck. Thanks :)
