This deck, and its Standard counterpart, Standard Air Superiority, are my main decks. The deck's goal is to control the board in the early game, then overwhelm my opponent with large flying creatures for the win.

I spend the early game staving off my opponent's threats with control cards like Detention Sphere and Icy Blast , then once I've built up enough mana, I bring out the big guns like Sunblast Angel . I also have a Stormtide Leviathan , which will completely stop attacks from my opponent's non-flying creatures.

This deck has some other controlling aspects to it. Many cards in the deck tap my opponent's creatures or care about tapped creatures, such as Icy Blast , Topplegeist , Icefall Regent , Sunblast Angel and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage . This deck also has a synergy between Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Render Silent . With Tamiyo's emblem in play and a Render Silent in my hand, my opponent will never cast another spell again.
