This deck is a mid to late game deck that relies on clearing the board and controlling the game. I think it runs a little smoother than the R/U/W geist deck. It is extremely spell based, but can switch to a more creature based deck if you have too. Anyone who loves Izzet or Control style decks will love playing this deck.

Another great thing about this deck is that it has a good matchup against Modern Jund. Nothing has a great matchup against Jund, but this deck consistently does well against Jund.

Spark Trooper is Key — Jan. 23, 2013

After playing about 50 games I have found that the Spark Trooper is a game changer. If you cast this creature and he gets through (he normally does), you have about an 80% chance of winning. This is a super card and will probably see a TON of play once people start playing this card.

Also Aurelia's Fury has not been super impressive in this deck. It is a great card and I'm sure it will see tons of play, but I have mainly used it is a sort of silence/feeling of dread effect. It is effective, but I feel that there may be better options for this deck.
