I went 2-2 last night with the current list. I won against owling mine (My friends deck from before, 2-0) and I got a bye (I think that counts as a win? Not sure.)
Round 1, Naya Burn(0-2):
G1:
Got a few threats out, strangleroot and mistcutter or two. They were just ignored, and he pumped up his swiftspear with a few suspended rift bolts along with atarka's command.
G2:
Got a decent sized threat out(turn one scales into endless one i think), but it gets pathed. Same outcome after that except its two swiftys and a goblin guide that eventually do me in.
Round 2, Bye.
Round 3, Jund(0-2):
G1:
I have a good starting hand, but it gets thoughtseized/IoKed a few times. he also has a bolt or two for the threats i do stick, and an abrupt decay for my scales. this was my longest game, but eventually the card advantage from Bob kills me.
G2:
Same as last game, but he sticks a goyf and beats me down faster with that. I got a feed the clan off but it didnt do much, and didnt draw my dismembers.
After these matches, I was really sad I took dodecapod out of the sideboard lol.
Round 4, Owling Mine(2-0):
G1:
Ive played against this deck enough times to know that if I can stick an early threat before he has counter mana then I can slowly beat him down until I win. That's basically what happened this game. I also made better use of my vines these games than my other games against this deck.
G2:
Same thing but I had worse draws, I need more gas.
So overall what I realized from playing this list is that it has too much land (I drew wayyyyyy too much of it in my games. And I need more draw. For next week I will most likely try to do just that, and hopefully I will have a better chance against these decks next time. Really though, even though I lost it was still a good experience. My opponents gave me good advice after our games and I learned more about my deck and what to sideboard when, etc. I am also working on a possible alternate list that adds white to go almost more of a delver/midrange style with less creatures, more spells and gavony township. So we will see how that goes.
