I haven't played Magic competitively in over a year now. I was thinking about getting back into the local FNMs and it seems to me that the best way to start would be with a deck I'm familiar with. I've already done some tweaking to my old Grixis deck, but I'm not even sure if Grixis Control is viable in the current Modern meta. Tips on any good additions Battle for Zendikar, Shadows over Innistrad, or Kaladesh (or any other set, to be honest) would be greatly appreciated. Similarly, I have no idea where to start on a sideboard, as I don't even know the current meta. Finally, I feel like my mana base could use a revamping, but I am admittedly ignorant in regards to land.
