Modern UR Resilience Advantage

Modern* UR (Izzet)

flyinginovals

So the initial impetus for this deck would be to create a machine that was resilient to the attrition-based strategies in Modern, had some disruption to get around the combos, and could pull out sudden wins with high-quality cards such as Boros Reckoner.

To that end, I decided to include a full playset of the new Keranos, God of Storms because I think he will be a useful source of continual card advantage, supplemented by one each of Jace Beleren and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage.

I included some damage-based sweepers in Blasphemous Act and Pyroclasm, which work well with Boros Reckoner, and often letting me steal surprise wins.

Wildfire was once considered the most powerful card in tournament magic, and though the game has changed much since its printing, it still has the power to radically alter games, especially if I have taken over some lands using Annex (with Dream Leash for redundancy). It also works as another effective damage-based sweeper.

Some countermagic in Mana Leak, Boros Charm, and a board-staller in Omenspeaker round out the deck. I want to know what you all think of this strategy, and whether it is really tournament viable. Please respond with specific suggestions. And if you have sideboard advise, that is useful as well.

Thanks very much!
