What is Momir Basic?

Momir Basic (https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Momir) is a format played on MtG-Online or Arena. Your 60 card deck only contains basiclands (for this cube I go with 12 of each kind). You have a Momir Avatar, wich grants you the following benefits:

-> Your starting lifetotal is 24 -> Once in your turn you may discard a card and pay an amount of X mana to get a random token copy of a Magic the gathering card with CMC equal to X. Activate this ability only at sorcery speed

Online this is no problem, but when you want to simulate this in paper, you need quit a big box or set a limit.

Number of cards in the cube

I started this cube with 40 of each CMC (1-8), played long time with 100 and recently cutted down to 70. With 70 cards the chance to rip a deadly Leveler or Phage the Untouchable is not as high, but you also have a more focussed cube with less useless dorks. But this is surely work in progress.

Special Rules

CMC9+ in Paper This cube has 60 cards wich have CMC 9+. All of them are shuffled in a separat deck. If a player wants to activate his avatar for this deck, he pays 9 mana, the next time 10 and so on. We keep track with dice.

PlaneswalkerCommander To bring even more variance in the game you may randomly pick a "Planeswalkercommander". Once in the game you may cast your Walker. If it dies, it's gone. Wich walker you choose for your cube, is completly up to you. Mine are Mu Yanling, Sky Dancer, Chandra Nalaar, Ajani Vengeant, Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded, Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted, Kaya, Bane of the Dead, Jace Beleren, Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage, Vraska, Regal Gorgon, Angrath, Captain of Chaos and The Wanderer

Why only once? The MomirAvatar says you only can activate it once a turn. Some cards are good with this, some bad. I recommand to let your playgroup decide, if more activations are possible.
