Sideboard

Enchantment (2)

Instant (3)

Sorcery (5)

So, you know about Jeskai Tokens? I decided to cut out the blue and build RW tokens/burn.

Main Deck

Creatures

  • Goblin Rabblemaster (4x) - One of the big token producers in the deck, Rabblemaster can also swing in for a lot of damage on an empty board.

  • Monastery Mentor (3x) - The other huge token producer, Monastery Mentor is slightly worse than Rabblemaster in that it doesn't automatically produce tokens, but far superior in that not only does it not make those tokens attack, the tokens have prowess, and can easily survive a Doomwake Giant or potentially a Drown in Sorrow .

Noncreature Permanents

  • Outpost Siege (3x) - The first mode gives card advantage, while the second gives pseudo-immunity to boardwipes - or rather, retaliatory potential.

Token-Producing Instants and Sorceries

  • Hordeling Outburst (2x) - 3 tokens for 3 mana. Sorcery speed, unfortunately, but you can't have everything. Keep in mind they'll have to attack if you play a Rabblemaster (but note - they don't have haste, unlike Rabble's tokens).

  • Dragon Fodder (3x) - 2 tokens for 2 mana; Hordeling Outburst's smaller and often better brother. Dragon Fodder into Rabblemaster is a great start to a game.

  • Raise the Alarm (4x) - Instant-speed 2 tokens for 2 mana. What's not to like? Can't be used to convoke for the red mana in the cost of Stoke the Flames, sadly.

Burn Spells

  • Lightning Strike (3x) - Typical burn spell. It's no Lightning Bolt, though. Of course, we also have...

  • Collateral Damage (3x) - Heck, this might even be better than Bolt in the current meta. With all these Bile Blights flying around, it's good to be able to sacrifice one of your tokens to save all the rest.

  • Magma Jet (4x) - Very, very useful, mostly because of the attached "Scry 2". Keep in mind that if you target a creature, your opponent can stop you from scrying if they give the creature protection from red, so watch out.

  • Stoke the Flames (4x) - Super handy if you don't want to swing any goblins into your opponent's board but you have a Rabblemaster. At start of combat, get your Rabble token and convoke it for this. Also, this card is pretty much your only way of getting rid of Stormbreath Dragon, unless you want to use multiple burn spells.

  • Wild Slash (2x) - You basically need a Monastery Mentor or an attacking Rabblemaster to get the Ferocious on this, but the Shock effect is good regardless of whether or not you'll have a 4-power creature. (Note: You only need 1 other noncreature spell and a Monastery Mentor to get the Ferocious; Prowess resolves before the spell that triggers it.)

Protection

  • Gods Willing (2x) - One of the best spells ever for keeping that Rabblemaster or Mentor on the board. Doesn't dodge board-wipes, though, which is why we have...

  • Valorous Stance (2x) - Both modes can be relevant; the first can keep a Rabblemaster or a Mentor alive, and the second can kill a dangerous threat. Rarely a dead card.

Land

  • Battlefield Forge (4x) - They say that life is a resource. I guess I agree, because these guys are pretty good.

  • Temple of Triumph (4x) - Fairly self-explanatory. Play it if you need a scry and/or don't have anything good to do with mana from an untapped land.

  • Mountain (9x) - Through a fair amount of testing, 21 lands seems just about right.

  • Plains (4x) - Just to balance out the mana symbol requirements.

Sideboard

  • Erase (3x) - Can get rid of Whips, Doomwakes, or Coursers, and also Ascendancies. Don't underestimate it; it's useful in a lot of matchups. Even in the mirror, you can get rid of Outpost Siege (although honestly you may not want to side these in for the mirror - your call). Post-board, you should probably board these in against any black deck - Virulent Plague hurts.

  • Glare of Heresy (3x) - For any pesky white permanents that are getting in the way. Not universally useful, but it gets rid of Rhinos, Butchers, Banishing Lights...

  • Hushwing Gryff (3x) - A must-have against Whip of Erebos decks or really anything that uses Siege Rhino, Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, or Hornet Queen.

  • Soulfire Grand Master (2x) - Gives lifelink to all of the assorted burn in the deck, and can essentially give all of your instants and sorceries buyback. Especially good with Stoke the Flames and large numbers of tokens.

  • Chained to the Rocks (2x) - 1-mana removal for almost any problematic creatures your opponents control? Yes please!

  • Arc Lightning (2x) - For mirror matches or against Jeskai Tokens, which might as well be a mirror match.

Updates Add

I've been doing minor updates ever since DTK, and I finally settled on something that I like. Dragon Fodder was always going in, but I just recently noticed something big I was overlooking.... For the longest time, I've been having trouble with Bile Blight. It had reached the point where I'd occasionally burn one of my own tokens when they targeted it with BB to make the spell fizzle. Simply put: Why did nobody tell me about Collateral Damage?!

Anyway, that's now a 3-of. Maybe it'll be a 4-of one day, but the requirement to have a creature is a slight issue. In other news, I've shuffled around the main-deck and sideboard a bit; the Outpost Siege in the side swapped with the Soulfire Grand Master in the main. I also took out a single Monastery Mentor. I'm sorry, but you're not as great when there's tons of removal all over the place. :(
