A possible working build for mono-black control in standard. Things will get more interesting when Innistrad (and M13) rotates, but this will work for now.

Corrupt and Nightmare are my main in conditions. Those will be the biggest beaters.

Doom Blade, Devour Flesh, Ultimate Price, and Mutilate all clear the board, and work great with Blood Artist. Sign in Blood and Dark Prophecy refills my hand. Duress deals with control elements. Liliana helps build up my Swamp count and can help clear the board. Crypt Ghast for mana ramp and extort shenanigans.

I've thought about splashing white for Debt to the Deathless, but then I feel like the deck would end up taking a more Aristocrats feel, and then I would end up straying from what I'm trying to build here.
