This is my current mono-black standard deck. I'm trying to slowly phase out the M14 and RtR block cards, so any suggestions as to how to go about that would be wonderful.

Other than that, it's pretty much just a basic devotion deck, get plenty of permanents on the field, then drop a Gray Merchant of Asphodel and make your opponent hurt.

Cards like Hero's Downfall, Duress and Thoughtseize can help keep your opponent on the back foot. I threw in the Whip of Erebos just in case your opponent decides that it would be a good idea to get rid of your Pack Rat before they could multiply.

A few noteworthy cards in the sideboard are Erebos, God of the Dead, Indulgent Tormentor and Liliana Vess. Erebos, God of the Dead usually stays there unless I'm against an annoying life-gain deck. Indulgent Tormentor found his way in there because I find him to be great against decks that want to keep control of your hand, or are starting to get ahead. And Liliana Vess is just lovely; unlimited discard, can help you get any card that you've only got one of, and her final ability can truly be a game ender.
