Mono Green Monsters [Dominaria Stompy]

Standard* Mono-Green Ramp

Zero2001

Sideboard

Stompy is the first deck type I played when I got into magic, so this archetype will forever hold a spot in my heart. This deck is not complicated, so is great for new players if they don't really have a budget, and is good enough to steal games against the most competitive decks out there.

This is the most simple, yet effective decks out there; play creatures, attack, profit, but I'll still type out why I made the choices I made. Any and all suggestions are welcomed and appreciated, leave an upvote if you enjoy, and thanks for taking the time out of your day to check this deck out! Have fun playtesting!

The Run Down

Carnage Tyrant: Just a great card. Six for a 7/6 with trample that can't be removed? Hard to beat.

Champion of Rhonas: A bit slow but has a good amount of burst potential. Only a one-of because it's a pretty dead card late game, but awesome early on.

Channeler Initiate: It's a mana dork, it's a beater, it's extremely good!

Desert of the Indomitable: Helps us draw threw are deck if we're good on mana.

Drover of the Mighty: More conditional than Channeler, but luckily for us, that condition is pretty easy to get in this deck.

Ghalta, Primal Hunger: It's a 2 mana 12/12 trampler. Not much else to say.

Hashep Oasis: No real downsides to having this in the deck, and can be an unsuspected threat that can win games.

Honored Hydra: Six mana 6/6 is fine, four mana 6/6 is better. both on the same card is pretty good!

Llanowar Elves: I'm not even going to say anything because we all know how good this card is.

Rhonas the Indomitable: One of the few low-mana beaters, and one of the best! the ability makes for a great mana sink mid to late game.

Rhonas's Monument: Some may question this, but this card is honestly insane. Helps cast creatures but the true value comes with the ability to pump and give trample!card:Ripjaw Raptor: Big creature, lots of potential draw, really good in the deck.

Steel Leaf Champion: I can't even explain the power this card contains, potential for a 5/4 on turn 2 with evasion! Amazing!

Verdant Sun's Avatar: Bit slow, but can gain tons of life if left around, good to be around in the deck just in case

Verdurous Gearhulk: Five mana for 8 Power and 8 toughness that can be spread across multiple creatures. Definitely a four-of.

Vizier of the Menagerie: Since we're playing 35 creatures, this gives us insane card advantage since it'll let us play an extra card more than half of the time.

Carnage Tyrant: Just incase we face the popular control decks, or decks that play heavy removal.

Heroic Intervention: Also against decks with heavy removal, or ones that play mainboard or sideboard boardwipes.

Naturalize: Just a good 2CMC instant speed removal.

Prowling Serpopard: Because I hate control.

Shaper's Sanctuary: Makes it so we get something out of it if our opponents wants to do something to our board.

Thrashing Brontodon: Good body, that can deal with God-Pharoah's Gift, and seal cards like Cast Out.
