This is my flavor of Pauper Mono-black control.

I use the early deathtouchers to act as a wall or to swing in for easy early damage. I can also use Dash hopes and duress to control my opponents. Dash Hopes is particularly effective at tricking my foe to paying the 5 life and getting them within striking range of my finishers. I also use Sign in Blood as well as Read the Bones to maintain card advantage as well as dig for the my win cons.

I use Gary and corrupt as my finishers. They both drain for a substantial amount of life. I have found Corrupt to be especially useful, as it CAN target a creature under dire circumstances and doesn't rely on any amount of current board presence to work. Plus if I am using Corrupt to stablise the board, chances are I do not have a good amount of board presence anyways. Not to say Gary isn't effective; he is. But it is nice to have two paysets of big drainers to help me out.

And that is basically the deck. I still need to figure out what excatly to do in the sideboard, but this deck is remaining competitive against some quick decks.

Any advice is lovingly taken! Happy draining!
