This is my take on a deck archetype. The deck is pretty straight forward with the only card that would be considered weird is the
Consul's Lieutenant
, who is in there because I want to try him out, and see if he can be renowned enough to actually matter.
For my sideboard, I am running:
Ainok Bond-Kin because there are some hornet decks in my meta, but generally I don't find the first strike to matter as much as I originally thought, since I always have a protection spell to prevent casualties.
Mastery of the Unseen
is there to help against control, when I'm constantly manifesting creatures, 1 Languish does not crush me like it does some decks.
Celestial Flare
is meant for creatures with Protection from White or Hexproof like Stormbreath and Silumgar.
Abzan Advantage
is for mono blue devotion or any other deck that relies on an enchanment like stray Assault Formation decks that go around.
Mardu Woe-Reaper
for a bit of graveyard hate as well as an efficient creature.
Brave the Sands is useful against aggro players as the threat of my 2/2 creature with First Strike blocking 2 of their 2/1 creatures is there.
