Somehow I got the idea that it would be cool to build a deck with as many keywords as possible.

Well, all the keywords turned out to be impossible; there are over 100 keywords in the game. True, I could get three or more from some creatures like Akroma and could leave out some very minor ones. But still, I couldn't call it a deck without room for land, and lots of keywords appear on a small number of creatures, making it hard to double them up.

My next thought was five decks, one each color, with all the keywords possible in that color. And that, I think, is possible. Here's the white one. Some notes about the process:

• The white deck happens to have both fading and vanishing, because there's at least one good card with each, but most decks probably won't.

• Each color has at least one landwalk and protection card, but not against the same things.

• Cascade and fuse appear on no monocolor or colorless cards. Sorry. Ripple is beyond useless in EDH, so I didn't do that. Cards with epic aren't useless, but you'd very rarely actually want to use it in a deck not completely built around it, so I left those out too. I also left out absorb, aura swap, fortify, frenzy, and poisonous - they're all not tied to any particular color, too narrow, or both. Modular, equip, and living weapon only appear on artifacts, so they technically could go in all decks but aren't aligned with any of them, and affinity appears on some colored cards but only cares about colorless permanents. If I ever do a sixth sampler platter deck I'll be sure to include them there, but I didn't force myself to find room for them in the first five. Sunburst only appears on artifacts and is useless in a monocolor deck.

• Other than those, though, I believe I can support every keyword.

• It probably wouldn't be possible to get every ability word in a deck as well

• This exercise was a good example of why Kamigawa sucks as a block - everything in it was parasitic. But in the end, I think I made it work, and nothing is completely useless.
