Red-Green Wolf/Werewolf tribal with Arlinn Kord
and a bunch of buff cards, and my first true modern deck with more than one color.
Immerwolf makes all other wolves stronger, as does Arlinn's werewolf-side +1 ability. Arlinn's human-side +1 can be used to give a good buff to one wolf, as can Kessig Wolf Run. Several of these also give trample for easy damage.
For creature removal, there is
Moonlight Hunt
to have all my wolves deal their damage to one creature and Lightning Bolt for easy damage.
Moonmist
can be used to flip Huntmaster of the Fells
and
Village Messenger
while also protecting everyone from combat damage, and Immerwolf prevents the werewolves from going back to their human forms. In an emergency,
Moonmist
can also be used on defense to stall for another turn.
Witchstalker
is the most useful all-around wolf in the deck, as he is a 3/3 hexproof that gets bigger if any of my stuff gets countered, and is good against control decks.
Silverfur Partisan
adds additional hate against control-heavy decks by giving me a wolf whenever a wolf gets removed or otherwise targeted.
Rot Wolf
is also a very useful wolf, as he has infect and lets me draw cards whenever he damages a creature that dies. He works especially well with
Moonlight Hunt
and his infect damage loves the buffs from the other cards in the deck.
The sideboard uses
Howlpack Resurgence
to help my wolves survive with a flash enchantment and to give them all trample, Ghost Quarter to slow Tron and some other land-based decks, Nature's Claim for noncreature removal, and Vines of Vastwood for protecting and buffing my wolves and werewolves.
Cards I'm considering-
Atarka's Command
and Collected Company- I can buff my creatures a bit, deal some damage to my opponent, mana ramp, or prevent lifegain...... seems good enough. The deck is also pretty creature-heavy and the vast majority of those creatures are 3-drop or cheaper, so CoCo could be an exceptionally powerful card. The only problem is that I only have one copy of Atarka's Command and no copies of Collected Company.
