Hi guys. This is my first attempt at an actual FNM deck. I'm hoping it would actually be good enough to place in the top of more prestigious tourney's. This is also the first deck I'm actually planning on building, so trading for some of these cards would help.
I wanted to choose something kind of rogue, and aren't copying the 3 most popular decks. (Solar Flare, Township Tokens, and Wolf-Run Ramp). First I had to find something to build around and that would be my beloved Mr.Fluffy, formerly known as Phyrexian Obliterator. I'm trying to make this deck work mainly around him just beating the opponent to a pulp. I also plan on this being a control deck. Here's the cards, and why I chose them.
Phyrexian Crusader - Alternate win-con and epic support. He takes RDW (which I think would be a problem for this deck) and puts it to a halt. He is also protect ed from Shock and Oblivion Ring which is a plus. Overall, I love him.
GFTT, Doom Blade, Dismember - quick creature removal and helps me control.
Lashwrithe - a 4/4 for 4 isn't bad. A 6/6 - 8/8 crusader isn't either. A 10/10 Obliterator is just insane. Enough said.
Apostle's Blessing - Protection for Mr. Fluffy, because he has a pretty big target painted on him.
Black Sun's Zenith - Board wipe, to fend off aggro decks.
Gitaxian Probe - A cycle card, I can see if it's okay to drop Fluffy, or prevent wasting a discard spell.
Despise, Distress - Discard for early game control. I'm hoping for a good 1 drop discard spell in the Dark Ascension. I miss Duress... :(
Caress of Phyrexia - I'm a little iffy about this card. I do think this deck needs card draw though, and I could target my opponent to probably give them fatal poison counters.
If anyone could help with this deck it would be much appreciated. I really want to make this competitive, so some constructive criticism would be fine. +1 if you like. Thank You!
