Half MUD, half charbelcher, all bad.
At our college, we're having a legacy tournament with proxies. Now I specced limited, but I do have an interest in legacy, and it is awesome to see all of my friends pick the legacy deck that was really for them. My spikey friend is playing RUG Delver. My Timmy buddy is playing Sneak and Show. My slowplaying tool friend is playing Solidarity. So what deck should I play? It was a mystery.
First I thought of All Spells. I can see myself being that guy, but that guy is not who I am deep down. I considered Stasis, because I'm closer to that guy, but I don't like slow grindy things.
So I considered the ultimate question. Do I want to be King Durdle? The answer, of course, is a resounding yes. So with that, I googled up a standard robots deck, changed ten cards and decided to pass it off as my own.
The deck lost some significant power and consistency when I found out Mishra's Workshop, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Tolarian Academy and Sol Ring are all banned in legacy, which is what I have come to expect from the boring format that won't let me play Oath of Druids. But all in all, it is fairly stable, merely being a worst version of both MUD and charbelcher, without any of the things that make either good.
