Creature (1)

Artifact (1)

Welcome to my homebrew Muzzio Artifactory deck!

Let's get down to business immediatly. The deck is designed to win with Blightsteel Colossus (BC) as soon as possible. Preferrably with a Blade of Selves on it to strike down everyone. Turn 4 is the quickest option.

Of course, your opponents are no fun and are trying to stop you from doing that. Therefore, Muzzio can do more. Much more. There is one big thing: The activated ability of Muzzio requires you to get lucky and hit what you need at the right time. However, there is plenty of godtier utility around that will make this happen sooner than later. But first, let's look at the winning boardstates that you can have.

Winning Boardstate One

After a few mana rocks, you have (as soon as on turn 4): Muzzio, Visionary Architect (used to dig for artifacts), Blightsteel Colossus and Akroma's Memorial. Your BC is an unstoppable force and can even attack every opponent at once with a complementary Blade of Selves.

Winning Boardstate Two

You managed to get Mycosynth Lattice and Karn, Silver Golem out. Congrats! With a few mana rocks you are able to animate every opponent's land, which will get destroyed immediatly as a state based action because those lands are 0/0 creatures.

Winning Boardstate Three

Sometimes you simply can't goldfish anything because of opponents. Then, there are still plenty of locks available to pillowfort yourself. There are many, many combinations possible. But here are a tiny few:

Possessed Portal with Muzzio, Visionary Architect = Nobody can draw cards and everyone has to slowly sacrifice their boardstate, while you are able to dig for artifacts with Muzzio.

Darksteel Forge with Nevynirral's Disk and maybe a complementary Unwinding Clock = Boardwipe every player's turn.

Alright, now that you've got the hang of this deck's nature, let's talk individual cards. The Mana Rocks are this deck's bread and butter. Now you may be thinking "Hey! Where are the moxes?". Well, I have been playtesting with both Chrome Mox and Mox Diamond , the downsides of those cards really hit this deck hard. I am trying to replace them with Mana Crypt and Lotus Petal, slowly getting there as money is an issue.

Scroll Rack: Insane utility. If you ever happen to draw BC, which is bad, then you can put it back on top of your library and cheat it into play with Muzzio. Same goes for Brainstorm which is infinitely better in this deck than most others.

Possessed Portal: I already talked about this card, but it deserves more attention in EDH. If you get this on the battlefield and your opponents do not have an answer, they will never have an answer for the rest of the game.

Thopter Assembly: A great card in combination with Kuldotha Forgemaster. Same goes for Myr Battlesphere and Forgemaster.

For any other card questions, please ask! Maybe you can instantly improve my deck with some ideas.

Updates Add

So it was time for another update. I switched some cards keeping an eye on useful stuff from Kaladesh or Aether Revolt. I put in Padeem, but instantly put him out since he is just too slow and pretty much useless.

Padeem, Consul of Innovation -> Trophy Mage

Because trophy mage can find me Metalworker or something else which is useful. Much more impact than padeem.

I switched out Mox Diamond and Chrome Mox -> for Mana Crypt and Lotus Petal. The downsides of the moxes were too severe and ended stuck in my hand quite often. The other rocks are more solid and useful. Now also considering Grim Monolith and Lion's Eye Diamond. I need info from experienced people on the usefulness of these cards.

Reshape -> Whir of Invention. Simply to test it out, but I expect Whir to be more useful because it's at instant speed and it doesn't cost me another artifact.

Now mainly looking at Stoic Rebuttal, which might be too useless as a 1 of.
