My first competitive deck: Any Advice?

I first tried out magic when I stumbled upon the gatecrash release with a friend. Unfortunately, they left, and being I had never played before, I decided to save myself and others a few headaches by doing the same. I did look over the cards though, and I've self taught myself now to a certain extent. I'm hoping to be on an even playing field now that a new sets out, and here's my first attempt at a real deck. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks.

As a side note I figured I'd mention what I'm aiming for. Card draw is expensive, and hand size is limited. My goal in this deck would be to stack up my graveyard quickly. My instants and sorcery cards are going to aim at treating said graveyards as a giant hand.
