Sorcery (1)

Sorry about your hand, thanks for the army. Really, I am surprised that more opponents are not angrier about this deck. Maybe it's cuz elves are still kinda cute after all these years. Last time I played this, Myojin of Night's Reach and an opponent's Wheel of Fate resulted in Nath of the Gilt-Leaf generating 64 elf tokens. My son was circling the kitchen table, clearly amazed that I had such a big army, which kind of took the edge off how ticked off my opponents were. Words of Waste and Geth's Grimoire are sick but I have not had that go off. Sadistic Hypnotist means no cards for opponents in combination with Nath of the Gilt-Leaf. Meanwhile, the best elf combo is Immaculate Magistrate and Joraga Warcaller, with Skyshroud Poacher able to assemble the dream team or any other elves you might want. Birchlore Rangers works great for green or black mana production off the tokens and low casting cost elves. Summoning sickness does not stop his ability. This deck is fun to play. With 33 or 34 elves, it is officially tribal. Cute little elves with just a little dark edge. Okay, a major dark edge.

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf's Dark Elves combines the power of elves with a huge helpinng of darkness and disruption. Led by Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, this deck focuses on generating an army of elves while disrupting your opponents' strategies with discard effects and sacrifice synergies. By overwhelming your opponents with a massive elf presence and depriving them of resources, you'll assert dominance on the battlefield.

Key Strategy: The primary strategy of this deck is to utilize the power of elves to generate a massive army and disrupt opponents' hands. With Nath of the Gilt-Leaf on the battlefield, you'll create elf tokens whenever an opponent discards a card. Combine this with various discard effects, sacrifice synergies, and powerful elf combo pieces to overwhelm your opponents and seize control of the game.

Card Selection:

Elf Synergy: Include a wide variety of elves that provide mana acceleration (Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic), card draw (Beast Whisperer, Elvish Visionary), and pump effects (Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Immaculate Magistrate). These elves will help you generate a substantial board presence and increase the power of your army. Discard Effects: Utilize cards like Sadistic Hypnotist, Mind Slash, and Words of Waste to force opponents to discard cards. This will trigger Nath's ability, creating elf tokens and depleting your opponents' resources. Sacrifice Synergies: Cards like Butcher of Malakir and Dictate of Erebos capitalize on the sacrificed elves, providing additional value and disrupting opponents' board states. Combo Pieces: The combination of Immaculate Magistrate and Joraga Warcaller provides a powerful pump effect for your entire elf army. Use Skyshroud Poacher to search for key elves, assembling your dream team or adapting to different situations. Geth's Grimoire + Words of Waste Mana Base: Design your mana base to support both green and black mana requirements. Include a mix of Swamps and Forests as your primary land types, along with dual lands like Overgrown Tomb and utility lands such as High Market and Mosswort Bridge. These lands will provide the necessary mana to cast your spells while also offering utility abilities.

Embrace the dark side of elves with Nath of the Gilt-Leaf and lead your army of cunning creatures to victory. Overwhelm opponents with a relentless stream of elves, disrupt their plans with discard effects, and dominate the game through sacrifice synergies. Enjoy the satisfaction of watching your opponents struggle to keep up as you unleash the might of Nath and his dark elves upon the battlefield.
