Maybeboard

This is an EDH deck with some dark combos.

Commander: Nath of the Gilt-Leaf - other players ask me more times, why Nath, when there are better options?! Indeed he is not the best, I play many matches without him and maybe a little bit overcosted, but one word makes him terrifying: "random". Non of my opponents want to see him on the board, so they want to counter or kill him instantly and sometimes this is enough to make a free way for a bigger threat. And finally, maybe the main reason is Contamination, beacuse if my opponent can't cast, I get tokens to pay it's upkeep cost.

But after all, I changed him, for Meren of Clan Nel Toth. Almost all of my creatures have etb trigger, so reanimating always a good option. There are many sacrificing options as well, so experience counters shouldn't be problem, and with sacrificing creatures, there are usually good options in my graveyard. And finally, reanimate means I can keep up Contamination with her too.

The basic point is to ramp with some little creatures like Sakura-Tribe Elder or Wood Elves (they can win me a few turns in the earlygame against agros) and with some manastones. I chose landdrop creatures against manaproduce creatures, because I don't mind to block with them and after a mass destruction I can still have good mana production and of course more etb trigger and manastones for green mana when there is a Contamination on the board.

Tokenfactories are good defense strategy against hordes and any creature based decks especially with Awakening Zone and From Beyond because the colorless creatures can protect me against creatures with protections and against swords like Sword of Feast and Famine. With Contamination it could be a lock, with Skullclamp a perfect drawingengine and many other options with Evolutionary Leap, Vampiric Rites.

In midgame there are many options with planeswalkers and bigger creatures. Tonnes of spot removals, sometimes I can win with those creatures or I can prepare for a combo.

Infinite squirrels may enter the battlefield in an earlygame as well, but in late game a Tooth and Nail could be an instant win any time with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion.

Most of the creatures have etb trigger, so a Recurring Nightmare is very useful and Wake the Dead could be a perfect boost especially with Eternal Witness/Greenwarden of Murasa beacuse you can reanimate your creatures in each of your opponent's turn...

Sacrifice options can keep up the good reanimating targets Phyrexian Tower, High Market, Vampiric Rites and Evolutionary Leap. Sacrificing creatures also gives me experience counters, especially when I control Awakening Zone or From Beyond and with Smothering Abomination it is a card advantage.

Living Plane lock with Curse of Death's Hold or just a one-sided Armageddon with Doomwake Giant/Massacre Wurm is very effective, but sometimes hard to use it and could be dangerous for me as well, if one part is destroyed/countered and only one part is almost useless, so I'm going to remove it from the deck.

Tooth and Nail is almost in every situation an easy win, but it can kill a good game when in medias res arrives... I feel it can too easily ruin the game and the gaming feeling, so after many many years and many many free wins, I'm going to retire it too.
