Sideboard

Land (1)

Enchantment (3)

Brains:

  • Atarka's Command: Top five all around favorite cards in Modern. Provides so much flexibility for burn.
  • Boros Charm: Four to the face or make your creatures indestructible. What's not to like?
  • Lava Spike: An extra three to the face? Sure.
  • Lightning Bolt: Probably the most important card in MTG. It is the measure by which all creatures are considered, and I've been rocking the same playset since '95.
  • Lightning Helix: Another Boros mainstay. I love how it shifts the board so quickly, and helps make up for the fetch/shock bouts.
  • Rift Bolt: Always good to have another bolt or two.

Brawn:

  • Eidolon of the Great Revel: Because burn.
  • Goblin Guide: He is going to a red deck auto-include forever. Giving your opponent the extra land does stink, but the intel and quick-strike factor are more than sufficient. I hate the normal art, and had to save up a long time for the judge promos, but it was worth it.
  • Grim Lavamancer: Cleanup patrol.
  • Monastery Swiftspear: This card is broken, but legal. Perfect early game when you have a handful of spells decent mid to late, when you need that extra blocker.
  • Wild Nacatl: Already banned once, probably not long before she is banned again. Swinging for three turn two with no drawbacks. Buy before she goes up too high, and you're left in tears when she is gone from Modern again.
