I have been looking at way to beat the menacing mono black and still be good against red decks that are still running around. Mono black wins with one for one removal and then wins with a big threat or merchant trigger. Now i think to myself, what beats one for one removal? HEXPROOF!!! After searching for hexproof guys i come up with whichstalker and gladecover scout. Sadly only two hexproofers but what can ya do. Then I think of the best ways to beat red and it happens to be lifelink and creatures with the defense of 4 or more. I do some reseach and take it to FNM and then i have this build.
