Random idea of a deck that I'm wanting to try out, cuz it sounds fun.
Effectively a budget Rites deck where you either throw your humans into the graveyard for Angel of Glory's Rise to return, or you overwhelm foes with cheap, aggressive humans!
I'm actually having a lot of fun play testing this deck on the site here....let me know what you think! Planning on bringing this to play tomorrow night and play some casual game (since most of the people that go to the store don't play super competitively) and seeing how it does in different settings.
So the deck was incredibly fun to play. One game I had going on, on about turn 6 I flashbacked Unburial Rites for my Angel, and emptied my graveyard of humans - in a three player-match-up, I hit someone for 13 Humans with Kessig Malcontents, swung at them for the remaining 7, and swung at the other for about 19, 15 trample (Kruin Striker was pretty big), swinging dead next turn.
I made some changes, putting another Kessig in, but I also edited some of the other stuff to fit Desperate Ravings in. The deck sometimes teetered with its looting aspect, and so I felt adding the extra two cards would help a lot, especially since they have easy-to-cast-flashback. While there's slightly less mana fixing in the deck, I felt it drew very well on its mana, and should be able to fix itself easily.
I'm currently working on sideboarding, trying to effectively make this deck go from this awkward (yet really fun!!) Rites deck into an effective Aggro Human one. I know Ancient Grudges and Thunderbolts will come in handy (Thunderbolt those Delvers), but if anyone has any tips/suggestions/ideas, let me know!
