Sideboard

Maybeboard

Wither finally has some support to work with. To pull a win, your going to combo pieces, putting minus one counters, and creatures to sustain your win condition.

The mana is set using Cabal Coffers , so your acceleration should come from abusing that fact all your land counts as a swamp. The fetch lands are in here to help seed up color fixing, but that is debatable on if you should use them or not. I have forgotten the ratios for a 60 card deck, so we put 24 lands in here which seems to work well. You could opt to put ramps spells ( Bubbling Muck ) if you wish to decrease the land count and adjust the ratios.

The deck is split between draw/tutor, ability to place a minus one counter, and the combo pieces. The side board is there to allow you to alter the deck in way that suits your play style. If your leaning more to combo for win, then you will reduce the control elements. If you want control, then you will reduce the combo pieces and add more mid range. The only major combo you need to know is Blood Artist + Blowfly Infestation + Nest of Scarabs for killing your opponents. If you like me, you will drop the blowfly infestation and just run an infinite loop resulting in a complete draw.

This is the best version I have come up with that supports the wither mechanic, we will see if Wizards will add more.

Updates Add

While wither did not get any new cards, Wizards has given the mechanic a little bit of support. I have modified the deck to reflect the new additions. I have taken out the more long game pieces and focused on setting up the minus counter engines.
