Here is my budget Grixis control deck! Of course, in a perfect world, I'd be running Rabblemasters, Planeswalkers, and all kinds of crazy lands, but I'm a college student who doesn't have the money for that kind of thing.

WIN CONS: Cruel Ultimatum is the obvious one, but coupled with Chandra, the Firebrand's -2, it ends games in a hurry.

Sedraxis Specter is the creature that keeps on giving. Not only does it do decent damage, it flies, forces discard, and unearths at a discount. Beating an opponent into the dirt with this is easier than you'd think. Furthermore, you can transmute Perplex into a Specter if you need some creatures or your opponent has no cards in hand.

Slave of Bolas ends people that rely on a single massive creature winning the game such as Stormtide Leviathan or Pearl Lake Ancient, and also poops on people that tap themselves out in an attempt to kill you off early. Even if you don't use it for lethal, it's removal with the bonus of some extra damage.

Living Lore allows me to reuse my Cruel Ultimatum, Jace's Ingenuity, or Slave of Bolas to great effect. The only problem of course is that it's a massive target for removal. That said, if it goes unchecked, that's the game. The kicker is that he can be returned to hand with either Kolaghan's Command or Cruel Ultimatum's effects.
